Import licenses from a CSV
If your deals already live in a spreadsheet, import them in one go. Download the template, paste your rows in, and preview before anything is saved.
The format
One row per licensed asset. Rows that share a license_id become one license, so a deal covering 3 videos is 3 rows. Those rows must have the same dates. Lapse takes the creator, channels, scope, status and auto-pause from the first row, so keep them the same too. Keep the header row; column order doesn't matter.
Dates are YYYY-MM-DD. Where a cell holds a list, separate the items with a semicolon (;).
Download the CSV templateRequired columns
- license_id: your reference for the deal. Letters, digits, - and _ only.
- creator_handle: the creator's handle, like @maya.makes.
- channels: meta_partnership_ads, meta_paid_reupload, organic, or several separated by ;. Organic doesn't cover any Meta ad.
- start_date: the first day the content may run.
Optional columns
- end_date: the last day the content may run, not before start_date. Blank means it never ends.
- creator_ig_user_id: the creator's Instagram user ID, or several separated by ;. Needed to spot ads that run as the creator.
- scope: assets (only the listed assets, the default) or all_creator_content.
- status: active (the default) or revoked.
- asset_id and asset_label: your reference and a readable name for the asset. Fill in asset_id if you plan to re-import; blank ones are numbered by row order.
- ig_media_ids, video_ids, creative_ids, ad_ids: the Instagram post, Meta video, creative or ad that uses the asset.
- auto_pause: true or yes allows auto-pause for this license (it still needs auto-pause on in Settings); any other value, like no or 1, blocks it. Blank follows your org setting.
Re-importing
Importing again updates licenses with the same license_id and adds new ones. Each license's dates, channels and status are replaced by what's in the file, and a blank status counts as active, so re-importing an old sheet can undo a renewal or a revoke. Ads you linked in Lapse stay linked. A license_id that belongs to another client is skipped.
If a row has a problem, the preview names the row and column so you can fix it before saving. If you import anyway, any license with a bad row is left out completely.
